Leg to Leg

I was a mess yesterday. My neck was really bothering me Sunday and I didn’t get much sleep that night. Tylenol and naproxen were not touching the pain. Unless I kept my head perfectly still, in a neutral position, I was hurting. I made it to work Monday but I was so tired and I couldn’t really function without moving my head so I bailed out halfway through the day.

When I got home I was able to sleep a little and then sleep a little more. I made a doctor appointment for this morning. I received the unhelpful advice that it was a strained muscle which can take a few days or a few weeks to heal. Gee thanks, doc. It does feel somewhat better today. I can move my head more before I hit the wall of pain. I’m hoping it will just be a few more days before I’m free to move any way I want.

Lion said he thinks he might be getting a cold. In my mind, I wrestled with saying “great, now I’ll get it too” but I was good. I asked if his nose was stuffy and said we have lots of cold medicine if he needed it. When he couldn’t find it, I pried myself out of bed and got it for him. Today he stayed home from work so he could snooze at will. I’ll pamper him when I get home.

Needless to say, there’s been very little touchy-feely going on. I haven’t been able to snuggle since Saturday night, but that’s not so bad considering Lion got his orgasm then. We’ve been holding hands and Lion has been taking good care of me. Depending on how we feel, we may snuggle a bit tonight. If not, sometimes we just touch legs under the blankets. Any closeness is nice.

When this happens to me i go to a chiropractor or get a massage. This works for me when i get a problem with my neck & a headache. Regular doctors do not seem to help. Hope you are feeling better.

What do you think?
