My Custom Cherry Keeper Chastity Device Is In Production

Josie Lynn, inventor of the Cherry Keeper chastity device completed my custom design. I ordered one made for me by Shapeways and it should be in my hands by the 15th of this month. I’m excited. Over the years, there have been very few real innovations when it comes to male chastity devices. In the 1990s the CB 2000 was invented. It was the first base ring chastity cage designed for the mass market. While there were a few base ring devices out there, they were mostly cobbled together plumbing supplies. The CB 2000 was the first of its kind.

Over the years, many designs have come out. They range from very simple cages like the Jail Bird to elaborate titanium works of art. However, they are all essentially the same thing: a tube or cage designed to contain and restrain the flaccid penis. While the Cherry Keeper looks very much like the others, it can be ordered with an amazing innovation.

Instead of being a container in which the penis essentially floats free, the Cherry Keeper can be ordered with a headlock, a shelf inside the cage that holds the head of the penis tightly against the front of the chastity device. Josie Lynn markets this feature as a form of chastity device security. He claims it makes pullout much more difficult. I have a completely different view of this innovation.

I realize that different men have different criteria for an excellent chastity device. I have two requirements that must be met. The first is comfort. I need to be able to wear the device without suffering pain or chafing. The second is convenience. The principal convenience attribute for me is the ability to urinate standing up without fear that I will be spraying urine. It should be easy for me to stay clean and odor free.

The Cherry Keeper headlock feature is a shelf around the inside of the cage that reduces its diameter. The human penis head is wider than the shaft below it. This serves a very useful purpose in nature. It provides a sort of seal that assures sperm will travel the right direction and not leak out before it has a chance to get past the cervix. If the headlock shelf is narrower than the head, and the head is forced past it, it will rest on that shelf and not withdraw back towards the body from time to time.

Until now, I’ve attempted to get the same effect by obtaining cages that are only 1 inch long. That inch barely contains the length of my penis head. The rest of my flaccid penis is pressed back against and into my body. This, hopefully keeps the head in firm contact with the end of the cage and centered in the opening for the urethra.

It sometimes works out that way. My 1 inch Jail Bird keeps the head of my penis firmly in contact with the front of the cage but my urethra “wanders” and generally ends up straddling one of the bars on the side of the center opening. That’s a recipe for disaster. If I don’t take a Q-tip and re-center my urethra, urine will spray everywhere.

By itself, the headlock doesn’t guarantee that my urethra will remain centered. However, the design of the cage can encourage urethral good behavior. If you look at the illustration of my custom Cherry Keeper, you’ll see that the cage tapers sharply at the front. This sharp taper wouldn’t be very good in a cage where the penis is free to withdraw into the body. In fact, it would almost guarantee that the end of my penis would never get to the end of the cage. However, once I force the head past the edge of the shelf (headlock), it has no choice but to fill the full space allotted to it. The sharp taper should make urethral wandering difficult if not impossible.

In fairness to the stock Cherry Keeper, my urethra remains firmly centered against the opening in the head of the cage. The design of the cage is the best I’ve seen so far for male chastity devices. I’ve been wearing it since it arrived. It’s completely comfortable and I haven’t had to adjust once.

The physics of chastity cage design are very subtle. Simply by looking at it, I can’t see any reason why this device works so much better than the others I’ve worn. But it does.
