It Comes and Goes

Lion had a lot of trouble sleeping last night. I thought I was having a hard time. I woke up at 7 am and couldn’t get back to sleep. I managed to pack four boxes of books and dishes before Lion woke up at 10. He said he hadn’t gotten to sleep until 4. By the time we had breakfast and Lion was ready to take on the day, it was already 1 pm. We haven’t heard from the new landlord yet. I hope he’s ready to do the walk through fairly early tomorrow. I also hope Lion is able to get himself moving if the landlord is ready early.

Once we sign the lease, I plan on making lots of trips back and forth to the new house. The more I can get moved by myself, the less we have to pay movers to do. At some point, I assume Lion won’t want to make trips back and forth tomorrow and the next day. That’s fine. I try to avoid having him get out of the car as much as possible. If he wants to stay home and save his energy, I can shuttle boxes and small furniture.

Lion’s eye sight today is fairly dim. I assume the left eye is still annoyed, and the right eye is still affected by the medication. By next weekend, I hope he’ll be seeing much better. I’m not sure if it’s coincidence or if the limited sight his left eye is producing is a factor, but Lion seems to be walking much better. Of course, he still needs help when there isn’t enough light, but he motors right along when there is light.

Again, I’m predicting great things for his eye sight. I don’t know how long it will be until he’s driving again, but I’m sure he’ll be able to navigate the house with little trouble. That will be a big help in a house he’s not used to.
